Cosmic Catnip Scratchers provide cats with a scratching surface they can't resist. Scratchers are thick with extra layers and reversible for double the scratching life. Cats appreciate the tight nooks and crannies in the corrugated cardboard that help them groom their claws as they scratch.

Why cats scratch:

Cat's claws continue to grow throughout their lives. Periodically, the base of each nail is encased in a scaly outer layer or sheath. This scaly sheath causes them discomfort when they retract their claws. Scratching is a cat's natural method of removing the sheath to maintain healthy claws.

In nature, cats will scratch trees or logs, so in the house, cats often turn to furniture as a substitute. Sprinkling a generous amount of genuine Cosmic Catnip onto the scratcher will encourage frequent scratching and redirect the behavior from the furniture to the scratcher.

Suggested areas of use:

Place Cosmic Catnip Scratchers near furniture or areas where the cat has been scratching. When cat is scratching in an unwanted place, redirect the behavior by placing cat immediately on the scratcher.

Directions:

1. Remove plastic wrap.

2. Discard used scratcher and insert replacement into the Alpine Climb inclined scratcher.

3. Sprinkle the new scratcher with Cosmic Catnip and refresh frequently.

4. When the block is scratched halfway through, pull scratcher block out of the box and put back in with the fresh side up.
