For Scaredy Cats: You might have to show him the ropes (or in this instance the string). Turn the toy on and kneel down in front of the Flingamastring. Play with the toy by catching and batting at the string (don't worry, we won't tell anyone) or pull the string out as far as it goes and dangle the string in front of kitty. Then as he gets interested in the string let go. Your fraidy cat will turn into a courageous lion in no time.

For Genius Kitties: Your overachiever might want to advance past conventional fling ama string play. So why not mix things up a bit. For doors with a bit of space under them try putting your cat on the other side of the door and close the door. Next a paw will appear from under the door (and then maybe the whole leg). Finally, you may witness two wildly flailing paws and legs trying to catch that string. Your kitty might even enjoy the challenge of a moving string and a moving door, so try leaving the door open after turning the toy on. (We apologize for any loud, door crashing noises that might occur.) He can also stalk the toy from behind the open door and then pounce on his prey (that string that just won't sit still) when the time is just right.
